News » Bella Trinidad - Naturaleza, salud y turismo en Topes de Collantes

Nestled in the Guamuhaya mountain range, just 20 kilometers from the heritage city of Trinidad, the Topes de Collantes Tourism Complex stands out as one of Cuba's most unique destinations. Combining lush nature, hotel services, and health programs, this destination represents a strategic commitment to ecotourism and wellness in the central region of the country.

The Topes de Collantes Great Natural Park is the green heart of the complex. With Protected Natural Landscape management status, its more than 200 square kilometers are home to six natural parks, trails to waterfalls, natural pools, and viewpoints offering spectacular views. The biodiversity of the Escambray Mountains makes this site a living laboratory for specialized tourism and environmental conservation.

The complex has several facilities that adapt to different visitor profiles:

Hotel Los Helechos: With 105 rooms, an indoor pool, gym, sauna, and entertainment services, it is ideal for families and groups. It offers buffet or à la carte meals and access to excursions through natural parks.

Kurhotel Escambray: Specializing in rehabilitation and revitalization services, this hotel has 34 double rooms and its own medical care. Its offerings combine relaxation, wellness, and direct contact with nature. It also features a cabaret, a snack bar, and access to the Las Mariposas nightclub.

Villa Caburní: With 28 rooms and a tranquil atmosphere, it is the perfect retreat for couples and ecotourism lovers. It offers excursion services, local cuisine, and cultural visits such as the Museum of Cuban Art and the Casa del Café.

In addition to hiking along mountain trails, visitors can enjoy activities such as climbing, birdwatching, guided tours, and tours of cultural sites. The proximity to Trinidad allows for a combination of natural experiences with the city's historical and architectural heritage.

Topes de Collantes is not only a tourist destination but also a model of environmental management. The integration of non-hotel services in protected areas, the promotion of nature tourism, and health promotion position the resort as a benchmark in Cuban sustainable tourism.

Located 800 meters above sea level, the resort enjoys a cool and healthy microclimate. Access from Trinidad Airport and connectivity to the Southern Circuit facilitate the arrival of national and international visitors.
